Rural Romeos - Terms of Use

The Rural Romeos website (WebSite) is owned and operated by Rural Heartlands Pty Ltd ABN 17 107 345 086 of PO Box 872, Wahroonga, NSW, 2076, Australia (Rural Romeos). Use of the services offered on the Website (Service) constitutes acceptance of the following terms.

1. You must be an adult of 18 years of age or older.
2. You may only register 1 profile with Rural Romeos.
3. Rural Romeos may refuse or cancel your registration as it sees fit.
4. You must pay Rural Romeos a service membership fee of either 6 months $55.00 or 12 months $75.00 (Membership Fee) in accordance with the instructions set out in the Website for access to the Service.
5. The Membership Fee is non-refundable and can't be put on hold.
6. On receipt of your Membership Fee, Rural Romeos will provide you with a user identity (Authorised User ID) which will enable you to access the Service, subject to paragraph 9, for 12 months.
7. You must ensure that you are the only user of your Authorised User ID and must keep it secure and not disclose it to any other person.
8. You acknowledge that you are responsible for all use of the Service through your Authorised User ID, whether or not authorised by you.
9. You must not engage in any unlawful or offensive conduct in connection with the Website, including posting any unlawful, offensive, obscene, defamatory, sexual, adult or pornographic language, image or other content on the Website (Offensive Content).
10. You must not interfere with another Service user’s enjoyment of the Service.
11. If a user clearly asks you to cease communication with them, you must immediately stop communicating or attempting to communicate with that person.
12. You may not use the Services:
    
    • (a) to solicit goods or services or to publish any material containing advertising;
    • (b) for any unlawful purpose; or
    • (c) for any purpose other than genuine, good faith attempts to meet other Service users.
13. Without limiting paragraph 10, the Website content is for your personal use only. It may not be used, published, disseminated or communicated in any form for any non-personal purpose, including commercial or professional purposes.
14. You acknowledge that while Rural Romeos use reasonable endeavours to monitor content of the Website and remove Offensive Content, some of the postings or content may contain Offensive Content. You must notify Rural Romeos of any Offensive Content on the Website as soon as you become aware of it.
15. Rural Romeos may email you from time to time with information relating to the Service.
16. You acknowledge that if you rely on any Website content posted by another Service user, you do so solely at your own risk.
17. You release Rural Romeos from all claims and liabilities of any nature related to the Services, including claims and liabilities connected with or incidental to these terms, such as those related to the unlawful acts and omissions of other Service users.
18. You indemnify Rural Romeos against all damages, losses, costs and expenses (including legal costs on an indemnity basis) arising out of any breach by you of these terms.
19. Rural Romeos may, by notice to you alter these terms or suspend, discontinue or change the Website content or Services functionality as it sees fit.
20. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia .
    

RURAL ROMEOS PRIVACY POLICY

1. General policy
   This policy sets out how Rural Heartlands ABN 17 107 345 086 (Rural Romeos) collects personal information. It also describes how Rural Romeos maintains, uses and discloses personal information.
   Rural Romeos is, by its nature, a service designed to exchange information, including personal information, between individuals. By using the website service and providing personal information to Rural Romeos, you consent to such use and disclosure of that information and to all related uses and disclosures, including Rural Romeos’ record keeping (Service Purposes).
   Any other use and disclosure of your personal information in connection with the service will be in accordance with the terms of use set out on the Rural Romeos’ website, www.ruralromeos.com and this policy.
   This policy sets out how Rural Romeos collects, uses and discloses your personal information. Rural Romeos respects the privacy of individuals.
   Generally, Rural Romeos does not release personal information. However, in response to a legal requirement in an emergency or in exceptional circumstances the Chief Executive Officer may at his or her discretion authorise the release of personal information.

   Rural Romeos will disclose your personal information for the Service Purposes and for purposes related to the operation of its Service to the following:
    (a) external service providers (on a confidential basis and such service providers will be limited in their use of your information to the purpose of Rural Romeos’ activities only);
    (b) specialist advisers who have been engaged by Rural Romeos to provide legal, administrative, financial, insurance, research, marketing or other services; and
    (c) any other person authorised by you, as specified by you,
   (Operational Purposes).
   Other than this, Rural Romeos will generally obtain your consent before it discloses any of your personal information. That consent can be given expressly or it may be implied by your conduct.
   Rural Romeos may at other times notify you about its disclosure practices in relation to specific services that it provides in relation to its activities.
3. Security of your personal information
   Rural Romeos takes all reasonable steps to protect your personal information from loss, unauthorised access, modification, disclosure or other misuse.
4. Sensitive personal information
   Rural Romeos does not seek to collect any sensitive information, as that term is used in the privacy legislation (including information relating to your racial or ethnic origin, membership of political bodies, religion or trade unions, sexual preferences or activities, criminal record, state of health or medical history), other than for Service Purpose and the Operational Purpose.
   If Rural Romeos holds any sensitive personal information about you that information will only be used and disclosed by Rural Romeos for the Service Purpose, the Operational Purpose and any purpose that you consent to or as required by law.
5. Use of your personal information
   As stated above, personal information provided for the Service Purposes may be posted on the website and provided to service users for the Service Purposes. Other than this, Rural Romeos uses the personal information that it collects to fulfil its legal obligations and the Operational Purposes.
   Rural Romeos may from time to time send you marketing material that Rural Romeos considers will be useful to you. Rural Romeos may also send you material about its activities. If you do not wish to receive this information, you can let Rural Romeos know and it will not send it to you. This does not apply to information that Rural Romeos is legally required to send, or information regarding the rights of Rural Romeos or other users of Rural Romeos’ website service.
6. Collection of your personal information
   Where Rural Romeos collects personal information it is collected for Rural Romeos’ business purposes, which are detailed generally on Rural Romeos’ website, www.ruralromeos.com, including the Service Purposes and the Operational Purposes. Where Rural Romeos requires personal information, Rural Romeos will generally state the purposes for its use and to whom it may be disclosed.
7. Access to your personal information
   At any time you may request access to personal information about you that Rural Romeos holds. Rural Romeos will process your request within a reasonable time, and if it is unable to give you a copy of the information, it will let you know generally the sort of information it holds about you.
8. Correction of your personal information
   You should promptly notify Rural Romeos if there are any changes to your personal information. You may ask Rural Romeos at any time to correct personal information held by it about you.
9. Changes to this policy
   Rural Romeos may amend this policy from time to time, and the policy will be published on Rural Romeos’ website.
